The Georgia Department of Revenue, as part of the Georgia Private School Tax Credit Law, allows individuals and businesses to allocate a portion of their Georgia income taxes toward eligible nonprofit institutions like Dar Un Noor Academy. This is a dollar-for-dollar tax credit — not a deduction — meaning it directly reduces what you owe the state, at no net cost to you.
Participating takes about five minutes and involves a few simple steps through Georgia SSO. Due to growing awareness of this program, funds are expected to be claimed within the first two days of the new year. We strongly encourage families and community members to register as early as possible and to share this opportunity with friends, family, and business owners.
By participating, you earn the reward of supporting Dar Un Noor Academy’s high-quality Islamic education while keeping more of your money in our community — rather than sending it to the state.
Georgia State Tax Credit Limits (per year)
The program allows the following dollar-for-dollar credits against Georgia income tax:
- Single filers: up to $2,500
- Married filing separately: up to $2,500
- Married filing jointly: up to $5,000
- LLC members, S-Corp shareholders, and partners in partnerships: up to $25,000
- C Corporations: up to 75% of their Georgia income tax liability
The credit you receive is limited to either your actual donation amount or your total Georgia tax liability, whichever is less.
